Workplace Wellbeing Charter
Tewkesbury Borough Council has been accredited by Healthy Workplaces Gloucestershire (Healthy Workplaces - Home), the national accreditation standard that recognises an organisation’s commitment to improving the lives of those who work there. We received the foundation accreditation on Tuesday, 7 June 2022, followed by the enhanced accreditation on Monday, 24 October 2022, after an extensive process of site visits, evidence gathering, staff interviews and a final assessment.
With this accreditation, we are proud to say that we are leading a healthy and happy workforce.

Everything we do is aimed at delivering our vision but the way we deliver services is equally important to us. We are an ambitious council punching above its weight, and we have therefore adopted a set of values which we apply across all of our activities. We are a council which is:
Open and honest:
We are committed to fostering trust, clarity, and accountability in everything we do. We will be transparent and honest in our work and communications, and ensure decisions are made in the best interests of our communities.
Respectful:
Being respectful to others is fundamental to building strong, trusting relationships with our communities and with our colleagues. We will treat others with courtesy, listen to different points of view and acknowledge diversity of opinions.
Inclusive:
We want everyone to feel valued and heard. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where individuals, regardless of their backgrounds, disabilities, identities or perspectives are welcomed and represented.
The council is a fantastic place to work, and we are committed to leading a healthy and happy workforce. Because we value all employees both long-serving and new, you will gain access to our comprehensive benefits package from day one.
